Brief Gear Description/ Endorsements: Daniel's Gear Page
Musical Influences:

I mainly learn from intense Bass players such as Jack Bruce from Cream, John Entwisle from The Who and Stanley Clarke who seem to have no boundaries and play the thing like a guitar. Only guitar influences whatsoever are Joe Perry from Aerosmith (from CD "Rocks" ) backwards and Tommy Bolin from Deep Purple but mainly only his solo career CDs.

How'd You Get Into Metal/Making Music?: My brother, Dave "The Beast" Spitz, bassist of Black Sabbath/White Lion/Great White, pounded me daily, as well as my mother and father, with expertise and angst for too many years to count before I succumbed to having to learn how to play guitar and rip his face off.
Briefly Describe Other Band Members:

Scott Ian - Probably one of the most proficient rhythm guitar players on the planet

Charlie Benante - Has musically spoiled me as a writer and lead guitar player, as I cannot create what is in my soul with any other drummer in metal

Joey Belladonna - Hearing him for the first time in the recording studio singing old Journey (Steve Perry) and smiling and laughing at the same time made me, scott and old mgr Johnny Z all fall off our chairs at the same time in the first 30 seconds. His metal voice and gift from above have clearly never been heard as of yet. My best friend in the music biz.

Frank Bello - known to throw skateboards, basses, mic stands and front kicking my racks and computers on stage. He cannot be held still, not given a chance to sit still. He longs to be one with the audience.

What Would You Do If You Weren't In Anthrax? I've been doing it for the past 10 years... I'm a Swiss Certified Master WatchMaker (as well as USA Certified). I repair, service, and create both new and vintage mechanical timepieces, more complicated than a Formula One race car engine, that can fit on the human wrist. Pure human works of art! This is my main love, passion, and job. Hopefully soon I can create my own timepieces for sale.
If You Were A Donut, What Donut Would You Be? I don't like donuts
